We are pleased to announce the addition of Travis Jeffords, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC to our growing practice.

Travis earned his Bachelors in Nursing from the University of North Florida and spent the past 7 years at UF Health Jacksonville as a Cardiac ICU Nurse in the Cardiac Care Unit. During his time as an ICU nurse, Travis obtained his Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification, chaired the unit council, trained new ICU nurses, and became the Wound Care Liaison for the unit.

He also earned his Doctorate in Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of North Florida where he focused over 1100 hours of his residency training in cardiovascular care. He is also a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

As part of his doctoral work, Travis implemented a guideline based screening process for depression after a heart attack in a large cardiovascular clinic. Furthermore, he continues educating new nurses as a faculty instructor for UNF, where he periodically teaches.

He also maintains certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).

Travis truly believes in the multidiscipline approach to health care and strives to be an amazing asset to the team. He is a patient advocate and a champion to patient education striving to provide the latest in evidence based practice. Very much loved by his patients he is devoted to being a partner in your cardiovascular health.

Travis was born and raised in Jacksonville’s Arlington and Intercoastal areas, and has no plans on ever leaving this beautiful city. He is married to his wife Meghan, with whom he has two beautiful children, Austin 5, and Riley 2, who are the light of his eyes. He loves spending time with his family and friends while enjoying the outdoors and this beautiful Florida weather.
