Osama A. Ibrahim, MD, FACC

Osama Ibrahim, MD, FACC brings a vast experience and procedural skill to Northeast Florida; he is a regional and national pioneer in the area of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) and Limb salvage/Amputation prevention. He chairs and co-chairs several national and international conferences is this arena. As an avid patient advocate, Dr Ibrahim’s advocacy effort ultimately led to the formation of a Congressional PAD Caucus under the sponsorship of Congressman Donald Payne (D, NJ) and Congressman Gus Brilakis (R, FL).

Dr. Ibrahim sits on several advisory boards for various healthcare entities and sits on multiple national leadership committees in the Vascular Space within several organizations including the American College of Cardiology.

Prior to joining the Ashchi Heart & Vascular Center, Dr. Ibrahim was practicing in Minneapolis, MN where he was Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at North Memorial Health Hospital, System Director for Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Chairman-Elect for the Department of Medicine at North Memorial Health Hospital, he also served as Physician Lead for Invasive and Interventional Cardiology Programs at North Memorial Heart and Vascular Institute.

Dr. Ibrahim trained at elite institutions in Chicago and Cleveland where he was selected as Chief Resident and Chief Fellow for these respectful training programs.  He has advanced training in the field of Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Disease. He is a reviewer for several peer reviewed publications and is a proctor for healthcare providers for advanced techniques in the space of PAD and limb salvage/Amputation Prevention.

Dr. Ibrahim enjoys promoting awareness and education of healthcare providers, government officials, patient advocacy agencies and healthcare administration in regards to PAD and Vascular Disease. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology. Within Ashchi Heart and Vascular Dr Ibrahim serves as the Director of Endovascular Services, where along his exceptional partners at Ashchi Heart & Vascular Center brings one of the most comprehensive and advanced Vascular Programs serving Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
