Dr. Amir Azarbal is an interventional cardiologist with advanced training and experience in treating structural heart disease. He completed my fellowship in interventional coronary and endovascular interventions at University of Vermont where he also served as a clinical instructor of medicine. He then completed his advanced fellowship training in valvar and structural heart interventions at Yale University and Yale New Haven Hospital where he trained under global leaders in this field. Dr. Azarbal specialized in evaluating patients with diseases involving their leaky or blocked heart valves, congenital holes in the heart, and patients with high bleeding risk on blood thinners and treating them using advanced catheter-based minimally invasive techniques. In his free time, Dr. Azarbal enjoys traveling, playing tennis, biking, skiing, and spending time with his family.
