Dr. Bisharat is an experienced Interventional Cardiologist, Endovascular specialist, and a Clot worrier. He joined AHV in 2017 and has helped to grow AHV to become the most distinguished cardiology practice in Northern Florida. He enjoys his peers’ and colleagues’ respect for the outstanding skills in performing minimally invasive procedures to treat complex and advanced diseases. Dr. Bisharat is most passionate about helping sick patients with cardiac and vascular diseases to get better by exploring simple and complex therapeutic options and newer technologies, which helped to bring our patients the best outcome.
Dr. Bisharat is a Board-certified Interventional Cardiologist. His experience includes primary and complex cardiac interventional cases, Complex Coronary / CTO interventions, and Peripheral Interventions such as below-the-knee interventions, limb salvage, and Endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms. In addition, he has developed comprehensive experience in Venous Interventions (Acute and chronic DVT, venous stenting, ablations, venous chronic total occlusions, and IVC filter management. In addition to broad expertise in percutaneous Mechanical Circulatory support. And recently, he has been Pioneering the PERT (Pulmonary Embolism Response Team) initiative at Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville, treating the deadly blood clots in the lungs. Memorial hospital of Jacksonville is a 410-bed acute care facility serving North Florida and South Georgia areas.
His career has taken him to Virginia as Assistant Professor to the Department of Internal medicine, Discipline of Cardiology, Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM), and West Virginia as the Director of the Interventional Cardiology Program and Chest Pain Center at Bluefield Regional Medical Center, then to become the Director of the Department of Cardio-Pulmonary Services and the Chief of Staff at Pampa Regional Medical Center in Pampa, Texas. Here he established a state-of-the-art 24/7 catheterization lab utilizing the most up-to-date techniques and technology in coronary and peripheral intervention, garnering Doctor of the Year for his efforts. Dr. Bisharat is married with three young children. In his spare time, he enjoys movies, fishing, and family bike rides.
